WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

“Carpentry has really impacted my life, as it can anyone else who takes the course.  I was able to finish the course with two certifications.  The benefits far exceed the average person’s perception of it.  The skills you learn will help you throughout the rest of your life.  Other fields of study like math, science and even engineering seem a bit easier after taking this course.  Take my brother for example, he is now in college majoring in precision machinery and is doing great.  He credits a lot of his success in that field to his prior knowledge of carpentry.”

~ Tyran Taylor Owens, Richmond, VA

“Mr. Brown’s carpentry class has taught me skills that not only proved effective in the classroom, but also in the workforce.  His class has assisted me in adjusting in the working world and opened up an extra career field that I never thought about going into that I am capable of doing.”

~ Tequan Victoria, Richmond, VA

“Taking carpentry with Mr. Brown not only taught me the basics of carpentry it taught me teamwork discipline patience and strategy planning.  These skills I use in everyday life I am a student at John Tyler Community in the Precision Machining program.  Although, I didn’t pursue a career in carpentry yet these skills has help me with m major today.”

~ Tyson Owens, Richmond, VA
